I, STEPHEN DONNELLY, Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection
(3)(a) of section 29 and by subsection
(3)of section 31 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (No. 13 of 2020), and being of the opinion that it is appropriate to do so having regard to the matters specified in paragraphs (a) to (d) of subsection
(4)of section 29 and specified in paragraphs (a) to (c) of subsection
(3)of section 31 as they relate to the State body to which the following order applies, hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (Sections 29 and 31) (Hepatitis C and HIV Compensation Tribunal) (Designation) Order 2020.
(2)This Order comes into operation on 13 October
- The Hepatitis C and HIV Compensation Tribunal is designated for the purposes of section 29 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (No. 13 of 2020).
- The Hepatitis C and HIV Compensation Tribunal is, for the purposes of section 31 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (No. 13 of 2020), designated and may hold hearings before it by remote hearing. GIVEN under my Official Seal, 7 October,

This Instrument designates the Hepatitis C & HIV Compensation Tribunal as a State body for the purposes of holding remote meetings under section 29 of Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 The Instrument also designates the Hepatitis C & HIV Compensation Tribunal as a body for the purposes of holding remote hearings under section 31 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 .
