I, HEATHER HUMPHREYS, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 65 (as amended by section 66 of the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2011 (No. 23 of 2011)) of the Courts of Justice Act 1936 (No. 48 of 1936) (as adapted by the Justice and Equality (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 452 of 2020 )), with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, hereby order as follows: 1.

(1)This Order may be cited as the District Court (Fees) (Amendment) Order 2021.
(2)This Order comes into operation on 30 August
  2. The District Court (Fees) Order 2014 ( S.I. No. 22 of 2014 ) is amended by the substitution of the following Articles for Articles 4A and 4B (inserted by Article 2 of the District Court (Fees) (Amendment) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 439 of 2020 ))– “4A. Notwithstanding Article 2, no fee shall be payable under this Order in the year 2021 in respect of the items specified in column
(1)of Part 4 of the Schedule at the following reference numbers: (
  1. a)4 (On an application for a certificate of transfer of a licence); (
  2. b)8 (On an application for a General Exemption Order); (
  3. c)16a (On an application for a restaurant certificate or a limited restaurant certificate); (
  4. d)18 (On an application for a certificate of registration of a club); (
  5. e)22 (On an application for any other public dancing licence); (
  6. f)23 (On an application for a music and singing licence). 4B. Notwithstanding Article 2, no fee shall be payable under this Order in the year 2021 in respect of the item specified, at reference number 5 (On the issue of a certificate of renewal of a licence), in column
(1)of Part 4 of the Schedule where the licence in respect of which the certificate of renewal is issued is a spirit retailer’s on-licence.”. The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform consents to the making of the foregoing Order. GIVEN under my Official Seal, 26 August,
