I, STEPHEN DONNELLY, Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1

(2)of the Regulated Professions (Health and Social Care) (Amendment) Act 2020 (No. 16 of 2020), hereby order as follows:
  1. This Order may be cited as the Regulated Professions (Health and Social Care) (Amendment) Act 2020 (Commencement of Certain Provisions) Order
  3. In this Order, “Act of 2020” means the Regulated Professions (Health and Social Care) (Amendment) Act 2020 (No. 16 of 2020).
  4. The 10th day of February 2021 is appointed as the day on which section 101 of the Act of 2020, in so far as it relates to the insertion, in section 50A of the Medical Practitioners Act 2007 , of subsections
(3)and
(4), shall come into operation. 4. The 13th day of February 2021 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Act of 2020 shall come into operation: (
  1. a)sections 51 and 52; (
  2. b)section 53 (other than paragraph (a)); (
  3. c)sections 54 to 57; (
  4. d)section 59; (
  5. e)section 61 (other than paragraph (b)); (
  6. f)section 62 other than - (
  7. i)paragraph (a)(
  8. ii)in so far as that paragraph relates to the insertion, in subsection
(1)of section 36 of the Pharmacy Act 2007 , of paragraph (ba)(ii), and (
  1. ii)paragraph (b); (
  2. g)sections 63 to 73; (
  3. h)section 74 (other than paragraph (d)); (
  4. i)sections 75 and 76. GIVEN under my Official Seal, 10 February, 2021. STEPHEN DONNELLY, Minister for Health. EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) This Order appoints the 10th day of February 2021 as the day on which certain provisions of the Regulated Professions (Health and Social Care) (Amendment) Act 2020 (No. 16 of 2020) come into operation. These provisions, which amend the Medical Practitioners Act 2007 , relate to registration on the Supervised Division of the Medical Council’s Register. The Order also appoints the 13th day of February 2021 as the day on which certain provisions which amend the Pharmacy Act 2007 come into operation.
