I, STEPHEN DONNELLY, Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving full effect to the amendments made by Article 33 of Regulation (EU) 2015/2283 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 20151 to Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 20112 , hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Union (Provision of Food Information to Consumers) (Amendment) Regulations 2021. 2. In these Regulations “Principal Regulations” means the European Union (Provision of Food Information to Consumers) Regulations 2014 ( S.I. No. 556 of 2014 ). 3. The definition of “EU Regulation” pursuant to paragraph

(1)of Regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations is amended by substituting the following; “EU Regulation” means Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 20112 as affected by Corrigendum to Regulation (EU) No. 1169/20113 , and as amended by Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No. 1155/2013 of 21 August 20134 , Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No. 78/2014 of 22 November 20135 and Regulation (EU) 2015/2283 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 20151 ; GIVEN under my Official Seal, 20 October,

These Regulations update the definition of “EU Regulation” in the European Union (Provision of Food Information to Consumers) Regulations 2014 ( S.I. No. 556 of 2014 ), to give full effect to the amendments that have been made to Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 by Article 33 of Regulation (EU) 2015/2283 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2015 on novel foods. These Regulations may be cited as the European Union (Provision of Food Information to Consumers) (Amendment) Regulations
