I, Eamon Ryan, Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8 of the Electricity Costs (Domestic Electricity Accounts) Emergency Measures Act 2022 (No.1 of 2022), and with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, hereby make the following regulations - 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Electricity Costs Emergency Benefit Scheme Regulations 2022. 2. In these Regulations, “Act of 2022” means the Electricity Costs (Domestic Electricity Accounts) Emergency Measures Act 2022 (No. 1 of 2022). 3. 24 March 2022 is the date prescribed for the purposes of section 4

(1)(a) of the Act of
