I, HILDEGARDE NAUGHTON, Minister of State at the Department of Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 19 (inserted by section 47
(1)of the Maritime Safety Act 2005 (No. 11 of 2005)) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1992 (No. 2 of 1992) (as adapted by the Transport, Tourism and Sport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 351 of 2020 )), and the Transport (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 759 of 2020 ), hereby make the following regulations:
- These Regulations may be cited as the Fishing Vessel (Radio Installations Survey) (Revocation) Regulations
- The Fishing Vessel (Radio Installations Survey) Regulations 1999 ( S.I. No. 40 of 1999 ) are revoked. GIVEN under my hand, 1 March 2022 HILDEGARDE NAUGHTON, Minister for State at the Department of Transport. EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) These Regulations revoke the Fishing Vessel (Radio Installations Survey) Regulations 1999 (S.I. No. 40/1999) as survey requirements for fishing vessels of 15m and over are dealt with elsewhere on the Statute Book and survey requirements for fishing vessels of less than 15m are dealt with in the Code of Practice for the Design, Construction, Equipment and Operation of Small Fishing Vessels of less than 15 metres in length overall.
