I, EAMON RYAN, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving further effect to Directive 2009/45/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6 May 20091 , hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Union (Passenger Ships) (Amendment) Regulations 2023. 2. Schedule 2 to the European Union (Passenger Ships) Regulations 2019 ( S.I. No. 676 of 2019 ) is amended in the Sea Area entry entitled West Coast of Ireland, by substituting for the second row (in relation to “Ballaghaline Point to Trawkeera Point”) the following two rows: “ Hag’s Head to Ballaghaline Point X X ✓ X Doolin to Cliffs of Moher Ballaghaline Point to Trawkeera Point X X ✓* X * Doolin to Inisheer from 1 March to 31 October ”.
