I, DARRAGH O’BRIEN, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 86
(2)of the Maritime Area Planning Act 2021 (No. 50 of 2021), after consultation with the Maritime Area Regulatory Authority, hereby make the following regulations: Citation 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Maritime Area Consent (Non-Material Amendment) Regulations 2024. Definition 2. In these Regulations “condition” means a condition attached to a MAC which requires the holder of the MAC to comply with an obligation as set out in the condition within a specified period of time. Classes of non-material amendments to MAC 3. The following classes of amendments to a MAC are specified, for the purpose of section 86 of the Maritime Area Planning Act 2021 (No. 50 of 2021), as non-material amendments: (
- a)the granting of not more than two extensions of time, for a period of not more than 6 months in respect of each such extension, for compliance by a holder of a MAC with a condition where the MARA, at its sole discretion, considers there are reasonable grounds for the granting of the extension of time; (
