I, RODERIC O’GORMAN, Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 49
(4)of the Mother and Baby Institutions Payment Scheme Act 2023 (No. 20 of 2023), with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform, and being satisfied, in respect of each of the following relevant institutions: (
- a)Clare (Ennis) County Home; (
- b)Mayo (Castlebar) County Home; (
- c)South Tipperary (Cashel) County Home; (
- d)Wexford (Enniscorthy) County Home, that relevant persons were resident, in circumstances referred to in paragraph (
- a)or (b), or both, of the definition of “relevant person” in section 2
(1)of that Act, in that relevant institution in the later year substituted by Regulation 3 of the following regulations for the year specified in Schedule 1 to that Act as the concluding year in respect of that relevant institution, hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Mother and Baby Institutions Payment Scheme Act 2023 (section 49
(4)) Regulations 2024. 2. In these Regulations, “Act of 2023” means the Mother and Baby Institutions Payment Scheme Act 2023 (No. 20 of 2023). 3. Column 4 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Act of 2023 is amended - (
- a)at reference number 3, by the substitution of “1958” for “1952”, (
- b)at reference number 18, by the substitution of “1960” for “1938”, (
- c)at reference number 25, by the substitution of “1960” for “1955”, and (
- d)at reference number 28, by the substitution of “1962” for “1936”. The Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform consents to the making of the foregoing Regulations. GIVEN under my Official Seal, 11 September, 2024.
