I, PETER BURKE, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1
(2)of the Companies (Corporate Governance, Enforcement and Regulatory Provisions) Act 2024 (No. 44 of 2024), hereby make the following order: 1. This Order may be cited as the Companies (Corporate Governance, Enforcement and Regulatory Provisions) Act 2024 (Commencement) Order 2024. 2. The 3rd day of December 2024 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Companies (Corporate Governance, Enforcement and Regulatory Provisions) Act 2024 (No. 44 of 2024) shall come into operation: (
- a)Part 1; (
- b)sections 4 and 5; (
- c)section 7; (
- d)sections 9 to 14; (
- e)section 21; (
- f)section 23; (
- g)sections 27 to 34; (
- h)sections 36 and 37; (
- i)section 39; (
- j)section 41; (
- k)sections 43 to 46; (
- l)sections 49 and 50; (
- m)section 54; (
- n)sections 57 to 70; (

EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) This Order fixes the 3rd day of December 2024 as the date on which the following sections of the Companies (Corporate Governance, Enforcement and Regulatory Provisions) Act 2024 (No. 44 of 2024) shall come into operation: Part 1, sections 4 and 5, section 7, sections 9 to 14, section 21, section 23, sections 27 to 34, sections 36 and 37, section 39, section 41, sections 43 to 46, sections 49 and 50, section 54, sections 57 to 70 and sections 73 to 89.
