These Regulations may be cited as the Animal Health and Welfare (Bovine Tuberculosis) (Amendment) Regulations 2024. Amendment of Regulation 22 2.
(1)The Animal Health and Welfare (Bovine Tuberculosis) Regulations 2015 ( S.I. No. 58 of 2015 ) are amended by substituting for Regulation 22
(1)(as inserted by the Animal Health and Welfare (Bovine Tuberculosis) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 ( S.I. No. 309 of 2016 )) the following– “22.
(1)Subject to paragraph
(2), the Minister may pay, following a direction under section 30 of the Act for the purposes of bovine tuberculosis, an amount not exceeding— (
- a)€3,000 in respect of a bovine other than a bovine mentioned in subparagraph (b), or (
- b)€5,000 in respect of– (
- i)a pedigree cow or pedigree in calf heifer, or (
- ii)a pedigree stock bull up to a maximum of 3 such bulls in a single breakdown period on foot of a declaration made under Regulation 13
(1)(a) or
