(5)of section 1 of the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023 (No. 8 of 2023) and, in relation to Part 4 and section 40 of that Act, after consultation with the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, hereby order as follows:

This Order may be cited as the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023 (Commencement) Order
The 6th day of March 2024 is appointed as the day on which Parts 3 and 4 and section 40 of the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023 (No. 8 of 2023) shall come into operation. GIVEN under my Official Seal, 6 March,
SIMON COVENEY, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment. EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) This Order provides that the 6th day of March 2024 is appointed as the day on which Part 3 (Requests for remote working arrangements), Part 4 (Code of practice) and section 40 (Amendment of Workplace Relations Act 2015) of the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023 shall come into operation.
