I, MARTIN HEYDON, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2024/3010 of 29th November 20241 , hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Seed of Oil Plants and Fibre Plants) (Amendment) Regulations 2025. 2. The European Communities (Seed of Oil Plants and Fibre Plants) Regulations 2003 ( S.I. No. 280 of 2003 ) are amended by substituting in Regulation 2

(1)for the definition of “EC Directive” (as amended by the European Communities (Vegetable Seeds) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 ( S.I. No. 201 of 2020 )) the following: “‘Directive’ means Council Directive 2002/57/EC of 13 June 20022 (as amended by Council Directive 2002/68/EC of 19 July 20023 , Commission Directive 2003/45/EC of 28 May 20034 , Council Directive 2003/61/EC of 18 June 20035 , Council Directive 2004/117/EC of 22 December 20046 , Commission Directive 2009/74/EC of 26 June 20097 , Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2016/11 of 5 January 20168 , Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2016/317 of 3 March 20169 subject to Commission Regulation (EC) No 217/2006 of 8 February 200610 as it relates to oil and fibre plants, Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2020/177 of 11 February 2020 and Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2024/3010 of 29th November 2024;”.
