I, MARTIN HEYDON, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2024/3010 of 29th November 20241 , hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Vegetable Seeds) (Amendment) Regulations 2025. 2. he European Communities (Vegetable Seeds) Regulations 2001 ( S.I. No. 306 of 2001 ) are amended by substituting in Regulation 2

(1)for the definition of “Directive” (as amended by the European Communities (Vegetable Seeds) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2020 ( S.I. No. 202 of 2020 )) the following: “‘Directive’ means Council Directive 2002/55/EC of 13 June 20022 , Council Directive 2003/61/EC of 18 June 20033 , Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 September 20034 , Council Directive 2004/117/EC of 22 December 20045 , Commission Directive 2016/124/EC of 5 December 20066 , Commission Directive 2009/74/EC of 26 June 20097 , Commission Implementing Directive 2013/45/EU of 7 August 20138 , Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2016/317 of 3 March 20169 , Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2020/432 of 23 March 2020, Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2020/177 of 11 February 2020 and Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2024/3010 of 29th November 2024;”.10
