The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 6

(1)of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2025.
(2)This Order comes into operation on 5 June 2025. 2. The name of the Department of State, the present name of which is, in the Irish language, an Roinn Caiteachais Phoiblí, Seachadta ar an bPlean Forbartha Náisiúnta, agus Athchóirithe and, in the English language, the Department of Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform, is altered, in the Irish language, to that of an Roinn Caiteachais Phoiblí, Bonneagair, Athchóiriúcháin Seirbhíse Poiblí agus Digitiúcháin and, in the English language, to that of the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation. 3. The title of the Minister having charge of the Department of State, whose present title is, in the Irish language, an tAire Caiteachais Phoiblí, Seachadta ar an bPlean Forbartha Náisiúnta, agus Athchóirithe and, in the English language, the Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform, is altered, in the Irish language, to that of an tAire Caiteachais Phoiblí, Bonneagair, Athchóiriúcháin Seirbhíse Poiblí agus Digitiúcháin and, in the English language, to that of the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation. 4. In any enactment or any instrument made under an enactment – (
  1. a)references to the Department of Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform shall be construed as references to the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, and (
  2. b)references to the Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform shall be construed as references to the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation.
