I, DARRAGH O’BRIEN, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 44G(1B) of the National Oil Reserves Agency Act 2007 , hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the National Oil Reserves Agency Act 2007 (Additional Certificates for Renewable Transport Fuel) (Amendment) Regulations 2025. 2. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1st day of July 2025. 3. The National Oil Reserves Agency Act 2007 (Additional Certificates for Renewable Transport Fuel) Regulations 2023 ( S.I. No. 143 of 2023 ) are amended - (
- a)in Regulation 3, by the substitution of “Subject to Regulation 3A, the following” for “the following”, and (
- b)by the insertion of the following Regulation after Regulation 3: “3A. Renewable transport fuels produced from palm oil mill effluents (POME) are excluded from the scope of paragraphs (a), (b), (
- d)and (
