I, DARRAGH O’BRIEN, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purposes of giving effect to Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2025/811 of 19 February 20251 , hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Union (Vessel Traffic Monitoring and Information System) (Amendment) Regulations 2025. 2. Regulation 2 of the European Communities (Vessel Traffic Monitoring and Information System) Regulations 2010 ( S.I. No. 573 of 2010 ) is amended by substituting for the definition of “Directive” the following: “‘Directive’ means Directive 2002/59/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 June 20022 , as amended by— (

EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) These Regulations give effect to Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2025/811 of 19 February 2025. The Regulations amend the European Communities (Vessel Traffic Monitoring and Information System) Regulations 2010 ( S.I.
