I, PETER BURKE, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving effect to Directive (EU) 2024/2839 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 20241 amending Directives 1999/2/EC, 2000/14/EC, 2011/24/EU and 2014/53/EU as regards certain reporting requirements in the fields of food and food ingredients, outdoor noise, patients’ rights, and radio equipment, hereby make the following regulations: 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Noise Emission by Equipment for Use Outdoors) (Amendment) Regulations 2025.
(2)These Regulations shall come into operation on 29 November 2025. 2. Paragraphs

(4)of Regulation 8 of the European Communities (Noise Emission by Equipment for Use Outdoors) Regulations 2001 ( S.I. No. 632 of 2001 ) are hereby revoked. GIVEN under my Official Seal, 27 November,

These Regulations amend the European Communities (Noise Emission by Equipment for Use Outdoors) Regulations 2001 ( S.I. No. 632 of 2001 ) to give effect to Directive (EU) 2024/2839 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October
- Directive (EU) 2024/2839 introduces changes to certain reporting requirements under Directive 2000/14/EC concerning noise emission by equipment for use outdoors. The purpose of these Regulations is to update certain reporting requirements in the field of noise emission by equipment for use outdoors, in line with the changes introduced by Directive (EU) 2024/
- These Regulations implement those changes by revoking paragraphs
(2)and
