I, SIMON HARRIS, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 , 4 and 28 of the Credit Review Act 2026 (No. 1 of 2026), hereby make the following regulations: 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Credit Review Act 2026 (Prescribed Amounts and Fee) Regulations 2026.
(2)These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 July 2026. 2. In these Regulations, “Act of 2026” means the Credit Review Act 2026 (No. 1 of 2026). 3. For the purpose of the definition of “credit facility” in section 2 of the Act of 2026 – (
- a)the prescribed minimum amount shall be €1,000, and (
- b)the prescribed maximum amount shall be €3,000,000. 4. The fee prescribed for the purposes of section 28 of the Act of 2026 shall be – (
- a)in the case of a credit facility of an amount not greater than €100,000, €100, (
- b)in the case of a credit facility of an amount greater than €100,000 but less than €250,000, 0.1 per cent of the value of the credit facility, and (
- c)in the case of a credit facility of an amount equal to or greater than €250,000, €250. GIVEN under my Official Seal, 25 June, 2026. SIMON HARRIS, Minister for Finance. EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation) In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister for Finance by sections 3 and 4 of the Credit Review Act 2026 (No. 1 of 2026), these regulations prescribe a maximum and a minimum amount for the purpose of the definition of “credit facility” in section 2 of the Credit Review Act 2026 . The maximum amount is €3,000,000, and the minimum amount is €1,000. In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister for Finance by sections 4 and 28 of the Credit Review Act 2026 (No. 1 of 2026), these regulations prescribe the fee payable to the Credit Review Service for an application for review of a credit decision. The prescribed fee is the greater of €100 or €1 per €1,000 of the value of the credit facility to which the application for review relates, subject to the limit that the maximum fee to be paid is €250.
