Amendment of Adoption Act 2010 2. Short title and collective citation Acts Referred to Adoption Act 2010 (No. 21) Adoption Acts 2010 and 2011 Number 44 of2013 ADOPTION (AMENDMENT) ACT 2013 An Act to amend the Adoption Act 2010; and to provide for related matters. [20th December, 2013] Be it enacted by the Oireachtas as follows: Amendment of Adoption Act 2010 1. The Adoption Act 2010 is amended by the insertion of the following section after section 63: “Continuation in force of certain declarations of eligibility and suitability 63A (1) A declaration of eligibility and suitability to which section 63(2)(a) applies and which— (a) was in force on the relevant date, and (b) specified the Russian Federation as the state to which the declaration applied, shall be deemed to have remained in force during the period commencing on the relevant date and ending on the day immediately preceding the passing of the Adoption (Amendment) Act 2013 and shall, subject to this Act, continue in force from such passing until 31 October 2014. (2) A declaration of eligibility and suitability which continues in force by virtue of subsection (1) shall not be amended under section 41(2) to specify any state other than the Russian Federation as the state to which the declaration applies. (3) In this section ‘relevant date’ means, in relation to a declaration of eligibility and suitability, 31 October 2013.”. Short title and collective citation 2.(1) This Act may be cited as the Adoption (Amendment) Act 2013. (2) The Adoption Acts 2010 and 2011 and this Act may be cited together as the Adoption Acts 2010 to 2013.
