Expenses of town commissioners under the Principal Acts. 4. Short title and citation. Number 34 of 1930. EDUCATION (PROVISION OF MEALS) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1930. AN ACT TO ENABLE TOWN COMMISSIONERS TO PROVIDE MEALS FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN. [23rd December, 1930.] BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS OF SAORSTÁT EIREANN AS FOLLOWS:— Definitions. 1.—In this Act— the expression “the Principal Acts” means the Education (Provision of Meals) (Ireland) Acts, 1914 to 1917; the expression “town commissioners” means the commissioners for the purposes of the Towns Improvement (Ireland) Act, 1854 , of a town which is not an urban district. Application of the Principal Acts to town commissioners. 2.—Town commissioners shall be a local authority for the purposes of the Principal Acts and those Acts shall apply accordingly. Expenses of town commissioners under the Principal Acts. 3.—All expenses incurred by town commissioners under the Principal Acts as extended by this Act shall be defrayed out of the rate leviable by them under section 60 of the Towns Improvement (Ireland) Act, 1854 , but no portion of such rate raised to defray such expenses shall be reckoned for the purposes of any limitation on the amount of such rate. Short title and citation. 4.—
(1)This Act may be cited as the Education (Provision of Meals) (Amendment) Act, 1930.
(2)The Principal Acts and this Act may be cited together as the Education (Provision of Meals) Acts, 1914 to 1930.
