Act Referred to Shannon Electricity Act, 1925 No. 26 of 1925 Number 24 of 1933. SHANNON ELECTRICITY (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1933. AN ACT TO AMEND SECTIONS 4 AND 5 OF THE SHANNON ELECTRICITY ACT, 1925 . [29th July, 1933.] BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS OF SAORSTÁT EIREANN AS FOLLOWS:— The Principal Act. 1.—In this Act the expression “the Principal Act” means the Shannon Electricity Act, 1925 (No. 26 of 1925). Amendment of sections 4 and 5 of the Principal Act. 2.—

(1)Section 4 of the Principal Act is hereby amended by the insertion of the following paragraph at the end of sub-section
(1)of the said section, that is to say:— “(e) compulsorily interfere with any lands or premises”, and the said section shall be construed and have effect accordingly.
(2)Section 5 of the Principal Act is hereby amended in the following respects and shall be construed and have effect accordingly, that is to say:— (a) by the insertion in sub-section
(2)of the said section of the words “or the compulsory interference under this Act with any lands or premises” after the words “artificial watercourse”; and (b) by the insertion in sub-section
(4)of the said section of the words “land, premises” before the word “right” where it secondly occurs.
(3)This section shall have and be deemed to have had effect as from the passing of the Principal Act. Short title and citation. 3.—This Act may be cited as the Shannon Electricity (Amendment) Act, 1933, and the Principal Act and this Act may be cited together as the Shannon Electricity Acts, 1925 and 1933.
