COURTS (SUPPLEMENTAL PROVISIONS) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1964 AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 46 OF THE COURTS (SUPPLEMENTAL PROVISIONS) ACT, 1961 . [17th June, 1964.] BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:— Amendment of section 46 of Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Act, 1961. 1.— Section 46 of the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Act, 1961 , is hereby amended, with effect as from the 1st day of February, 1964, by the substitution of the following subsections for subsections (1), (2) and (3) (inserted by the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Act, 1962 ): “(1) There shall be paid to the several judges of the Supreme Court and of the High Court the following remuneration— (a) to the Chief Justice the sum of £6,360 a year, (b) to the President of the High Court and to each of the ordinary judges of the Supreme Court the sum of £4,950 a year, (c) to each of the ordinary judges of the High Court the sum of £4,400 a year. (2) There shall be paid to the several judges of the Circuit Court the following remuneration— (a) to the President of the Circuit Court the sum of £4,400 a year, (b) to each of the ordinary judges of the Circuit Court the sum of £3,640 a year. (3) There shall be paid to the several justices of the District Court the following remuneration— (a) to the President of the District Court the sum of £3,190 a year, (b) to each Principal Justice of the Dublin Metropolitan District the sum of £2,855 a year, (c) to each other justice of the District Court who is for the time being permanently assigned to the Dublin Metropolitan District the sum of £2,690 a year, (d) to the justice of the District Court who is for the time being permanently assigned to the district court district which comprises or includes the County Borough of Cork the sum of £2,690 a year, (e) to each other justice of the District Court the sum of £2,520 a year.” Short title and collective citation. 2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) (Amendment) Act, 1964. (2) The Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Acts, 1961 and 1962, and this Act may be cited together as the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Acts, 1961 to 1964.
