GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA Official translation GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA RESOLUTION NO. 1183 On the Participation of the Republic of Lithuania in the European Union Training and Education Programmes Leonardo da Vinci II and Socrates II 3 October 2000 Vilnius The Government of the Republic of Lithuania hereby r e s o l v e s:

1. To approve the Draft Decision of the Association Council between the European Communities and their Member States and the Republic of Lithuania adopting the terms and conditions for the participation of the Republic of Lithuania in the programmes of the European Union in the fields of training and education.
2. To instruct the Ministry of Education and Science, which is in charge of the participation in the European Union training and education programmes Leonardo da Vinci II and Socrates II (hereinafter called the Leonardo da Vinci II and Socrates II programmes), to transfer from the appropriations provided for in the State budget of the Republic of Lithuania for the year 2000 to the Commission of the European Union a 50 percent part of the Leonardo da Vinci II and Socrates II programmes membership contribution due for the year 2000 (excluding administrative expenses) and administrative expenses, pursuant to the Annex attached hereto.
3. To instruct the Ministry of Finance to transfer from PHARE National Programme funds, provided for the year 2000, to the Commission of the European Union the other (the second) part of the Leonardo da Vinci II and Socrates II programmes membership contribution due for the year 2000, viz. 50 percent.
4. To instruct the Ministry of Education and Science, which is in charge of the participation in the Leonardo da Vinci II and Socrates II programmes, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance: 4.
5. when planning the expenditure for the years 2001 – 2002 for programmes in progress, to provide for the funds referred to in the Annex to cover one part of the Leonardo da Vinci II and Socrates II programmes membership contribution, viz. 50 percent (excluding administrative expenses) and administrative expenses, as well as other expenses incurred in relation to the administration of these programmes (supporting the national agencies) and expenses incurred in relation to the participation in specific projects of the European Union programmes; 4.
6. to transfer from the appropriations of the State budget of the Republic of Lithuania, assigned to the Ministry of Education and Science, to the Commission of the European Union contributions related to the participation of the Republic of Lithuania in the Leonardo da Vinci II and Socrates II programmes in the years 2001 and
8. To instruct the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is a national coordinator of aid, in planning the funds of PHARE National Programme for the years 2001 – 2002 to make projections of the amount necessary to cover the other (the second) part (50 percent) of the Leonardo da Vinci II and Socrates II programmes membership contribution.
