17th SESSION OF THE BALTIC ASSEMBLY 17th SESSION OF THE BALTIC ASSEMBLY FINAL DOCUMENT The Baltic Assembly, having convened on 7-9 December 2000 in Vilnius, Lithuania, for its 17th session, having solemnly marked the joint session of the Parliaments of the three Baltic States which was held on 1 December 1990 in Vilnius, having discussed the integration of the Baltic States into NATO, development of rail transport and youth tourism, and other issues, adopted the following documents: Statement on the Integration of the Baltic States into NATO; Appeal to the Baltic Council of Ministers on the Development of Rail Transport; Resolution on the Development of Youth Tourism in the Baltic States and the Baltic Area Region; Resolution on Intensifying Pedagogical and Educational Activities of Museums; Regulations of the Secretariat of the Baltic Assembly; Decision on the Baltic Assembly Budget for 2001; approved the Baltic Assembly Budget for 2001, and decided that the 18th session of the Baltic Assembly will take place on 31 May - 2 June 2001 in Riga, the Republic of Latvia.
