LIETUVOS RESPUBLIKOS VYRIAUSYBĖ Official translation GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA RESOLUTION No. 681 ON THE APPROVAL OF THE NATIONAL TELEPHONE NUMBERING PLAN 6 June 2001 Vilnius In accordance with Article 15 of the Law on Telecommunications of the Republic of Lithuania (Official Gazette No. 56-1548, 1998), the Government of the Republic of Lithuania has resolved:

  1. To approve the National Telephone Numbering Plan (attached hereto).
  2. To establish that: 2.
  3. telephone numbers used by telecommunications operators prior to the entry into force of this resolution may be used till the date set by the Communications Regulatory Authority; 2.
  4. The National Telephone Numbering Plan is controlled, monitored, and the stages of its implementation are established by the Communications Regulatory Authority. GENERAL PROVISIONS
  5. This plan shall regulate the allocation and structure of telephone numbers used in telecommunications networks.
  6. This plan is open, i.e., in order to complete a call within a geographic area of a telecommunications network having the same national destination code only the subscriber number shall be dialed, and the national (trunk) prefix and national destination code are not dialed, whereas in order to make a call to other geographic area of the telecommunications network, the national (trunk) prefix, national destination code and the subscriber number shall be dialed.
  7. The numbering range 2XX XXXXX (the sign X in this document represents any digit from 0 to 9) may be also assigned, by a decision of the Communications Regulatory Authority, for the provision of services other than fixed telephone services.
  8. Telecommunications operators may use the numbers in the ranges 13XX, 14XX, 15XX, 16XX at their own discretion in the public telecommunications networks owned by them. II. THE STRUCTURE OF THE INTERNATIONAL TELEPHONE NUMBER
  9. The international telephone number consists of the country code and an 8-digit national (significant) number.
  10. The national (significant) number consists of a 3-digit national destination code and a 5-digit subscriber number. III. tHE sCHEME OF THE NATIONAL TELEPHONE NUMBERING PLAN
