REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA

REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA LAW ON COMING INTO FORCE OF THE LAW ON THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA

1. To abolish the Department of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Lithuania from 15 June
3. To found the Ministry of Environmental Protection from 15 June
5. Material resources belonging to the Department of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Lithuania, as well as allocations and financial resources provided for in the State budget prior to 1 July 1994, must be transferred to the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Lithuania. To propose the Government to set up a commission for the execution of this transference.
6. The Government of the Republic of Lithuania must approve the regulations of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Lithuania prior to 1 September
7. Until the regulations are approved, but no later than 1 September 1994, the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Lithuania shall perform functions which have been assigned to the Department of Environmental Protection according to the Law on Environmental Protection of the Republic of Lithuania, and shall wield the powers assigned to this department, with the exception of those powers which are specified in Articles 5 and 6 and items 4 and 11 of Article 9 of this Law.
8. To reorganize from the day of enforcement of the Law on the Government of the Republic of Lithuania the Ministry of Culture and Education of the Republic of Lithuania into the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania. The Government of the Republic of Lithuania must approve the regulations of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania and the Ministry of Education and Science prior to 1 August
10. To reorganize from the day of enforcement of the Law on the Ministry of Social Security of the Republic of Lithuania into the Ministry of Social Security and Labour of the Republic of Lithuania. The Government of the Republic of Lithuania must approve the regulations of the Ministry of Social Security and Labour of the Republic of Lithuania prior to 1 August
12. To found the Ministry of Public Administration Reforms and Local Government Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania from 1 July 1994, not exceeding the funds appropriated for the state administration. The Government of the Republic of Lithuania must approve the regulations of the Ministry of Public Administration Reforms and Local Government Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania prior to 1 August
14. The Government of the Republic of Lithuania must approve the work regulations of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania prior to 1 August
16. To propose to the Government of the Republic of Lithuania to reorganize now functioning Ministries and governmental institutions according to the stipulations of the Law on the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.
17.
