BALTIJOS ASAMBLĖJOS ŠVIETIMO, MOKSLO IR KULTŪROS KOMITETO, DALYVAUJANT BENILIUKSO TARPPARLAMENTINEI KONSULTACINEI TARYBAI, SEMINARO RESOLUTION ON INTEGRATION IN THE FIELD OF MARITIME TRANSPORT The Baltic Assembly, taking into account the importance of maritime transport and ports for the economies of the Baltic States – Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania; integrating into the European Union under similar conditions; promoting cruise shipping and short sea shipping for common interests and co-operation, recommends: - to encourage information exchange between competent authorities on the issues of integration into the European Union in the field of maritime transport, as well as resolution of the problems that may arise; - to promote more active participation of competent authorities in the activities of the Cruise Europe and other organisations of cruise shipping, in order to disseminate information of the opportunities on the eastern coastline of the Baltic Sea, - to initiate the unification of efforts of the countries of the eastern coastline of the Baltic Sea, seeking to jointly represent the interests of these countries in the institutions of the European Union, to develop short sea shipping services and appropriate infrastructure related to it.
