SEIMAS RESOLUTION

SEIMAS RESOLUTION REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA SEIMAS RESOLUTION No.I-887 , 11 May 1995 Vilnius Concerning the Enforcement of Articles Specified in Article 52 of the Law on Alcohol Control The Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania has r e s o l v e d: I. To propose to the Government of the Republic of Lithuania:

1. By 1 July 1996, to: 1) prepare and submit to the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania draft amendments to the Laws on Excise Taxes and Stamp Duty, taking into account the Law on Alcohol Control; 2) (Repealed 4 July 19995) 3) establish the basis of and the procedure for the issuing and revocation of licences to produce, sell, and import alcohol products, taking into account the Law on Alcohol Control; 4) prepare and approve state alcohol control programme.
2. By 1 January 1998, to enforce other requirements established by the Law on Alcohol Control. II. To establish that:
3. By July 1, 1996 the Ministry of Health must : 1) establish the Lithuanian Narcological Centre, approve its regulations, list of staff and allocate funds necessary for its activities; 2) fulfil other requirements established by the Law on Alcohol Control.
4. The Lithuanian Standardisation Agency at the Ministry of Public Administration Reforms and Municipal Affairs must, within six months as of the date of the adoption of this law, prepare or revise normative documents, taking into account the Law on Alcohol Control.
5. The normative acts of the Law on Alcohol Control, concerning the change of the name of the Ministry of Health Care shall become effective after the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania adopts the Law “Concerning the Amendments to the Law on the Government of the Republic of Lithuania”.
6. Part two of Article 5, parts two, three and four, of Article 6, Articles 7 and 8, part one of Article 9, Article 12, part eight of Article 19, part two of Article 20, part six of Article 21, Article 24, part three of Article 30, part two of Article 32, Article 33, part three of Article 35, part four of Article 43, part 2 of Article 47, paragraph 3 of part one of Article 50, shall come into effect from July 1,

Licences to produce and import alcohol products, engage in wholesale and retail trade thereof, issued to enterprises until the Law shall come into effect, shall be valid to the date indicated there. These licenses shall grant the right to produce and import alcohol products, engage in the wholesale and retail trade thereof according to the normative acts valid at the time the licenses were issued. New licenses shall be issued to enterprises according to the requirements of the Law on Alcohol Control, which have come into force, however the time of the validity of these licenses must be established only to July 1,
