Translation from Lithuanian Translation from Lithuanian GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA R E S O L U T I O N No. 284 On Veterinary and Sanitary Requirements on Livestock, their Products, Raw Materials and Fodder Imported to the Republic of Lithuania and Transported as Transit through its Territory Vilnius, 27 April 1993 Seeking to protect the Republic of Lithuania from dangerous and infectious livestock and other animal diseases, the Government of the Republic of Lithuania r e s o l v e s: To establish that:

1. Any import to the Republic of Lithuania or transit through its territory of livestock, their products, raw materials and fodder is permitted to legal and natural persons upon the receipt of a permit issued by the State Veterinary Agency.
2. Legal and natural persons willing to obtain a permit mentioned in the first paragraph have to submit to the State Veterinary Agency a permit issued by the State Veterinary Agency of the country of import and a contract between the exporter and the importer, and to indicate the place where the state border was crossed (upon entrance and departure) of the Republic of Lithuania, destination point and time of transit.
