Translation from Lithuanian Translation from Lithuanian GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA D I R E C T I V E No.573p Vilnius, 3 August 1993 Re: Development of Information Supply within the Government structures of the Republic of Lithuania With the view to develop information supply within the Government structures and to advance preparation of Resolutions and supervision of their enforcement:

1. to set up a working group for the evaluation of information supply to the Government and future possibilities and for the assessment of propositions on advancement thereof: G. Balèiûnaitis - Head of Computer System Division of the Administrative Division of the Prime Minister's Office (Head of the Working Group); Z.Bingelis - Head of Information Technology Division of the Environmental Department of the Republic of Lithuania; J.Bridþius - Senior Consultant of the Data Processing of Computer System of Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania; K. Èesonis - Director for Commerce of the Closed Joint Stock Company "LEMA"; A.Otas - Head of Software Department of Kaunas Technological University; B. Rimða - Consultant to Advisor on Transport and Communications of the Prime Minister's Office; E. Þidonis - Deputy Chief of Division of Technological Strategies of the Ministry of Communications and Informations Technology.
2. The working group has to prepare and submit to the Government of the Republic of Lithuania: 2.
3. by 1 October 1993 a survey on the provision of the by-laws regulating information supply within the Government structures, on the evaluation of actuality and enforcement thereof; 2.2 by 1 November 1993 propositions coordinated with the ministries and other public institutions on preparation of the Government draft resolutions, their coordination and supervision procedure of their enforcement using the existing hardware and telecommunication facilities; 2.3 by 15 December 1993 propositions on further advancement of information supply within the Government structures of the Republic of Lithuania.
4. to instruct ministries and other public institutions to submit to the working group the following: 3.1 by 15 September 1993 information on the enforcement and results of the acting resolutions regulating information supply, adopted either by the Government, ministries or other public institutions; 3.2 by 15 October 1993 propositions on the use of their information systems for regulatory purposes to meet the needs of other ministries and public institutions.
