Translation from Lithuanian Translation from Lithuanian GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA R E S O L U T I O N No. 718 On the Restriction of Import of Certain Things (Goods) to the Republic of Lithuania, their Export and Transit Vilnius, 19 May 1995 With the aim of restricting the import of certain things (goods) to the Republic of Lithuania, their export and transit the Government of the Republic of Lithuania r e s o l v e s:
- To approve the list of the things (goods) that are prohibited to be imported into the Republic of Lithuania, exported or transported in transit (attached).
- To establish that: 2.
- the import of the following things (goods) into the Republic of Lithuania is prohibited when the latter is provided for by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania and the resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania; 2.2 the export of the below is prohibited: 2.2.
- securities, which are invalidated or the validity of which is expired, covered in the list approved by the Ministry of Finance; 2.2.
- things (goods) if that is provided for by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania and the resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania; 2.
- the list covered in point 1 and the requirements covered in points 2.1 and 2.2 shall be obligatory to all economic entities and travellers, unless otherwise provided by the laws of the Republic of the Lithuania and the resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania or international agreements; 2.
- dangerous and military cargoes of foreign countries shall be transported through the territory of the Republic of Lithuania in the order provided for by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania and the resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania; 2.
- clandestine cargoes shall be imported into the Republic of Lithuania and exported according to the list approved by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania in the order set by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania; 2.
- the list of things (goods), the import of which into the Republic of Lithuania is restricted, as well as the list of things for personal use shall be approved by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania by establishing customs duty regime for travellers.
- Ministries and other governmental institutions on agreement by the Ministry of Economics and the Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance shall draw the detailed lists of things (goods), the import of which into the Republic of Lithuania, whose export, transit and sending by post to and from the Republic of Lithuania are prohibited, as well as the lists of things (goods), the import of which into the Republic of Lithuania, whose export and transit are prohibited without permits, and shall indicate the codes according to the Combined Nomenclature of the European Economic Community, shall update the lists every quarter and supply them to the Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance up to and including June 15 1995: 3.
- the Ministry of Defence - the lists of cargoes which are classified under first class of dangerous goods and the lists of military ammunition; 3.
- the Ministry of the Interior - the lists of hunting and sporting firearms, arbalests, pneumatic weapons, their numbered parts, ammunition, explosives, police ammunition, special devices of control and security, criminalistic devices and the devices for training the police staff, colour copying equipment; 3.
- the Ministry of Environmental Protection - the lists of the cargoes which are classified under second to ninth classes of dangerous goods, devices for electric fishing, wild animals (stuffed animals, eggs, furskins included), trophies of hunting and fishing, articles made of unprocessed wild animals and their parts; 3.
- the Ministry of Health Care - the lists of narcotic, highly effective poisonous, psychotrophic substances and devices for using them; 3.
- the Ministry of Communications and Informatics - the list of radioelectronic and electric equipment, which emits (may emit) radio waves when in operation, of things (goods) prohibited to be sent by post to and from the Republic of Lithuania as well as of things (goods) prohibited to be sent by post to and from the Republic of Lithuania without permits; 3.
- the Department of Cultural Values Protection of the Ministry of Culture - the lists of cultural and artistic values, amber as raw material and auto-moto vehicles produced before 1950 as well as their parts included.

- All types of fighting weapons (may be imported of exported only with the Permit of the Government of Lithuania). More than 2 gas pistols (revolvers), more than 4 sets of their ammunition, more than 2 Mace bottles may be imported and exported only with the Permit of the Ministry of the Interior.
- All types of hunting and sporting firearms, arbalests, pneumatic weapons, their numbered parts, ammunition, explosives (may be imported and exported only with the Permit of the Ministry of the Interior).
- Narcotic, psychotropic substances and devices for using them (may be imported and exported only with the Permit of the Ministry of Health Care).
- Radioelectronic and electric equipment, which emits (may emit) radio waves when in operation, covered in the list approved by the Ministry of Communications and Informatics (may be imported only with the Permit of the State Inspectorate of Electric Communications).
- Police and military ammunition, special devices of control and security, criminalistic devices and the devices needed for training the police staff covered in the list approved by the Ministry of the Interior (may be imported only with the Permit of the Ministry of the Interior).
- Cargoes of the first class of danger (may be imported, exported and transported in transit only with the Permit of the Ministry of Defence) and cargoes of the second to ninth class of danger covered by the list approved by the Ministry of Environmental Protection (may be imported, exported and transported in transit only with the permit of the Ministry of Environmental Protection).
- Colour copying equipment (may be exported or imported only with the Permit of the Ministry of the Interior).
- Electric fishing devices (may be imported only with the Permit of the Ministry of Environmental Protection).
- Cultural and artistic values, amber as raw material and auto-moto vehicles produced before 1950 and their parts included (may be exported only with the Permit of the Department of Cultural Values Protection of the Ministry of Culture).
- Wild animals (stuffed animals, eggs, furskins included), trophies of hunting and fishing as well as articles made of unprocessed wild animals and their parts covered in the list approved by the Ministry of Environmental Protection (may be exported only with the Permit of the Ministry of Environmental Protection on agreement by the State Veterinary Authority. The order of issuing Permits shall be set by these governmental institutions after agreement on the matter is reached). ________________________
