DECLARATION DECLARATION on Concurrent Resolution 320 of the United States 105th Congress 2d Session The Baltic Assembly, sharing the firm belief that the United States remain a key factor in preserving peace and stability and ensuring security in Europe; emphasising the importance of the United States’ policy of the non-recognition of the occupation by the Soviet Union of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia; being convinced that signing of the United States-Baltic Charter by the United States is of utmost importance to ensuring security and stability in the Baltic region and strengthens the strong historical kinship between the peoples of the United States and the Baltic countries; welcomes the Resolution No. 320 passed by the House of Representatives of the United States Congress on October 10, 1998, urging Russia to renounce the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact of Non-Aggression and its secret supplemental protocols as illegal and null and void, and calling on the President and Secretary of State of the United States to work to ensure that Russia understands this.
