THE BALTIC ASSEMBLY THE BALTIC ASSEMBLY APPEAL to the NAA Secretary General

1. The Baltic Assembly States its satisfaction with the willingness expressed by the NATO countries to cooperate with other countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania see the ultimate goal of cooperation in the creation of a joint and stable system of safeguards for collective security.
2. The Baltic Assembly calls on the NATO states and the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Assembly to find a possibility of providing real safeguards of stability for those states which have expressed the desire to join the North Atlantic Alliance.
3. The Baltic Assembly calls on the NATO states and the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Assembly to work out prerequisites whose implementation would make it possible to start a gradual inclusion of interested states into the structures of NATO.
