RESOLUTION RESOLUTION of the BALTIC ASSEMBLY On the Establishment of Baltic Assembly Prizes in Culture, Arts and Science The Baltic Assembly believes that the establishment of prizes in culture, arts, and science promotes further cooperation among the three nations, provides new opportunities for exchanging cultural values and stimulates better understanding of the history and cultural heritage of the countries. The Baltic Assembly calls on the Governments of the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia, and the Republic of Lithuania to establish two annual Baltic Assembly Prizes to be awarded in literature, arts and science of the three states. The drafting of the Prize Statutes should be entrusted to the Education, Culture, and Science Committee of the Baltic Assembly.
