RESOLUTION REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE ACCESSION OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA TO THE 11 APRIL 1980 UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION ON CONTRACTS FOR THE INTERNATIONAL SALE OF GOODS The Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania r e s o l v e s:
- To accede to the 11 April 1980 United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods with the following stipulation: “The Republic of Lithuania, governed by Articles 12 and 96 of the Convention, states that any provisions of Articles 11 and 29 or Chapter 2 of the Convention allowing that the sale contract, its amendment, rescission of agreement between the parties, or an offer, acceptance or any other express intent be made not in writing but in any other form, shall not be applied if any one of the parties has a commercial enterprise in the Republic of Lithuania.”
- To instruct acting Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania to notify the Secretary General of the United Nations Organization of this act of accession and of the wish of the Republic of Lithuania to deposit accession documents.
