RESOLUTION RESOLUTION 21 December 1994 Vilnius Concerning the Actions of the Republic of Lithuania at International Organizations The events in the Caucasus region, a new culmination of which is Russia’s military actions in Chechnya, causes a great concern to the Republic of Lithuania. The Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania recommends the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania to address the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe pursuant to its document of the Conference on the Human Dimension (Moscow, 3 October 1991) concerning extremely gross violation of human rights in the Russian Federation and with the participation of its army, and in particular because of the actions the consequences of which are thousands of deaths and new flows of refugees. The Seimas is convinced that the Seimas Delegation of the Republic of Lithuania at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe shall raise these issues in relevant committees. The Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania is of the opinion that this problem must be considered at the institutions of the United Nations.
