GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA Working document GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA RESOLUTION No 110 ON THE APROVAL OF 1999 TARIFF QUOTA FOR IMPORTED FLAX FIBRE 4 February 1999 Vilnius In accordance with Article 11 of the Law of the Republic of Lithuania On Customs Tariffs (Official Gazette No 28-727, 1998), the Government the Republic of Lithuania h a s r e s o l v e d:

1. To approve 1999 tariff quota - 3,500 tons - for import of long flax fibre (codes according to the Combined Nomenclature of Goods – 5301.21.000, 5301.29.000).
2. To apply the zero customs tariff on import of flax fibre for the quantity specified in paragraph
4. To assign the task to the Ministry of Economy to distribute the 3,500-ton quota for long flax fibre, in accordance with the procedure established by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.
5. The Ministry of Economy along with the Ministry of Agriculture shall carry out the activity analysis of the primary flax fibre enterprises and, by 15 April 1999, submit proposals on the improvement of financial and economic activities thereof and payments to the flax growers.
