THIRD SECTION DECISION Application no. 33429/21 L.A. against Greece The European Court of Human Rights (Third Section), sitting on 5 February 2026 as a Committee composed of:  Diana Kovatcheva, President,  Canòlic Mingorance Cairat,  Vasilka Sancin, judges, and Viktoriya Maradudina, Acting Deputy Section Registrar, Having regard to the above application lodged on 1 July 2021, Having regard to the decision to grant the applicant anonymity under Rule 47 § 4 of the Rules of Court, Having deliberated, decides as follows: FACTS AND PROCEDURE The applicant, Ms L. A., was born in 2017. She was represented by Mr V. Psomos, a lawyer practising in Lesvos. The applicant’s complaints under Article 3 and/or Article 8 of the Convention concerning the applicant’s living conditions and medical treatment were communicated to the Greek Government (“the Government”). On 16 April 2025 the Court sent friendly‑settlement declarations to the parties and the parties were invited to reply until 27 May 2025. On 26 May 2025 the Government requested, before examining the possibility of reaching a friendly settlement, to verify whether the representative still remains in contact with the applicant, given the long lapse of time from the receipt of the applicant’s observations and just satisfaction claims. On 27 May 2025 the applicant’s representative informed the Registry that he was no longer in contact with the applicant. THE LAW In the light of the foregoing, the Court concludes that the applicant may be regarded as no longer wishing to pursue the application (Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention). Furthermore, in accordance with Article 37 § 1 in fine, the Court finds no special circumstances regarding respect for human rights as defined in the Convention and the Protocols thereto which require the continued examination of the application. Accordingly, the case should be struck out of the list. For these reasons, the Court, unanimously, Decides to strike the application out of its list of cases. Done in English and notified in writing on 26 February 2026.    Viktoriya Maradudina Diana Kovatcheva  Acting Deputy Registrar President
