Condition Number One: Verified Sources

Without a connection to a corpus, every citation from AI is suspect. With the Europaius connector, the AI looks up the actual text before answering and references it in the response. Fourth, only corporate accounts with training on data disabled are used. Fifth, the firm keeps a record of what the AI is used for, so it can answer the client if asked.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is using AI with the connector compliant with the duty of confidentiality?

Only the search query goes to the connector, not the client's documents. Confidentiality is handled on the AI tool side: use a corporate plan with training disabled and anonymise the facts of the case.

Does this replace a legal information system?

For routine research and citation verification, often yes. For specialised commentaries and templates, not yet. Many firms combine both.

What if a trainee lawyer doesn't verify a citation?

The link in the response is one click away; the rule 'no link, no use of the citation' is easy to enforce. Moreover, the connector never returns a non-existent decision.
