- Preliminary
- The title of these Regulations is Addolorata Cemetery Regulations. Title. Cemetery regulations
- The Addolorata Cemetery shall be open to the public on any day from 7.00a.m to noon and from 2.00p.m to sunset; no interments shall take place out of these hours and no person shall be allowed to enter or remain in the cemetery except for urgent reasons. - No vehicle shall be allowed to enter the cemetery except the hearse, the parish priest’s vehicle, and other vehicles carrying materials for use in the cemetery; in special cases the Superintendent of Public Health or the Capuchin Father in charge may grant permission for visiting the cemetery in a conveyance. Prohibition of vehicles.
- Except in very urgent cases, no works or repairs connected with graves and chapels shall be allowed between the 20th of October and the 10th of November of each year. Works or repairs.
- It is forbidden to pluck flowers, to smoke, or to carry fire arms in the cemetery: provided that the latter prohibition shall not apply in the case of funerals of members of the Armed Forces of Malta. Prohibitions. Watching of corpses
- Corpses which are conveyed to the cemetery before the lapse of twenty-four hours from death shall be kept in the mortuary annexed to the cemetery and shall be watched by a person duly approved by the Superintendent of Public Health. Watching of corpses.

- Removal of corpses
- Except in cases of absolute necessity, the removal of corpses from graves to the charnel-house in the cemetery shall take place during the first seven days of any of the months of January, April, July or October, during such hours as shall be fixed by the Superintendent of Public Health. - The removals referred to in regulation 8 of these Regulations shall be carried out under the supervision of an officer appointed by the Superintendent of Public Health; and a fee of twelve cents (0.12) shall be charged for such supervision if the removal is effected on the days specified in regulation 8, and of forty cents (0.40) on other days. - No persons other than those appointed by the Superintendent of Public Health shall be employed in carrying out any such removal, and a fee of forty-seven cents (0.47) shall be charged for such service. Single fee.
- A single fee for supervision shall be charged collectively on all removals taking place during the same day.
