[ S.L.234.06 MERCHANT SHIPPING FEES 1 SUBSIDIARY LEGISLATION 234.06 MERCHANT SHIPPING FEES REGULATIONS 8th June, 1973 LEGAL NOTICE 64 of 1973, as amended by Legal Notices 151 of 1977, 128 of 1992, 279 and 341 of 2002, 76 of 2003, 411 of 2007 and 41 of 2009; Act XV of 2009; and Legal Notices 169 of 2011, 220 of 2015, 479 of 2020 and 211 of 2025. 1. The title of these regulations is Merchant Shipping Fees Regulations. Title. 2. The fees payable for the services and certificates specified in the Schedule shall be the fee specified in relation to each such service or certificate in that Schedule: Fees for services, etc. Substituted by: L.N. 128 of 1992. Provided that the Minister may, under such conditions as deemed appropriate, exempt any person or class of persons, or any ship or class of ships, from all or part of the fees payable in terms of these regulations. 1. a)if the service started during normal hours and finished within one hour after normal hours - Euro 50; (
2. b)if the service started within one hour before normal hours and finished during normal hours - Euro 50; (
3. c)otherwise, Euro 50 per hour or part thereof subject to a minimum of three hours, so however that if the service is given on any day between 2100 hours and 0700 hours, or at any time on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays the rate per hour or part thereof shall be Euro 100 subject to a minimum of three hours: Provided that other additional fees for the provision of services outside of the offices of the Directorate of Merchant Shipping of the Authority for Transport in Malta or outside harbour or outside M a l t a m a y b e e s t a b l i s h e d b y t h e R e g i s t r a r-G e n e r a l a t h i s discretion.
