- The title of these regulations is the Application for the Issue of a Warrant Regulations.
- In these regulations unless the context otherwise requires- "Act" means the Inġiniera Act; "Board" means the Board tal-Inġiniera established by article 6 of the Act; Title. Interpretation. Amended by: L.N. 101 of 2010; XXI of

- "Minister" means the Minister responsible for infrastructure; "warrant" means a warrant to practice the profession of engineer issued by the Board in terms of article 3 of the Act; and "warrant holder" shall be construed accordingly. 3.
(1)The prescribed form for the application in writing from any person for the issue of a warrant shall be in accordance with the form set out in the Schedule, and any reference to a prescribed form shall be construed as a reference to the form in the said Schedule: Provided that applications for a warrant may also be submitted by electronic means on a form approved by the Board. (2)The prescribed form together with all relative original documents, or copies thereof, as may be required by the Board, shall be submitted to the Secretary thereof by the applicant personally, or by electronic means, who shall also produce adequate documents of identification and nationality.
(3)A fee of fifteen euro (€15.00) shall be paid by a professional engineer to the Board in respect of the issue of an original warrant, and a fee of five euro (€5.00) shall be paid in respect of the issue of each copy of the original warrant.
(4)A fee of fifty euro (€50.00) shall be paid to the Board by a person holding foreign professional engineering qualifications acceptable to the Board, in respect of the issue or renewal of a special licence. 4.
(1)The Board may request such information and inspect such projects, schemes and other documents as may reasonably be considered necessary to enable it to carry out its functions.
(2)The Board may set time limits for compliance with any requests it may make in accordance with sub-regulation
(1).
