(1)The title of these bye-laws is the Bye-Laws for the Degree of Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Youth and Community Studies - B.A. (Hons) YCS - under the auspices of the Faculty for Social Wellbeing.

- In these bye-laws, unless the context otherwise requires - "the Board" means the Board of the Faculty for Social Wellbeing; "the course" means the course programme leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Youth and Community Studies B.A. (Hons) YCS; "the Degree" means the degree of Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Youth and Community Studies - B.A. (Hons) YCS; "the Diploma" means the Diploma in Youth and Community Studies - Dip. YCS; and S.L. 327.236 "the Principal Regulations” means the General Regulations for University Undergraduate Awards.

- To be registered as regular students in the course, applicants shall satisfy the general requirements for admission as specified in the Admission Regulations. Requirements for admission.
- The course shall extend over a period of three years of fulltime study or five years of part-time study. Course duration.
- Students shall be allowed to proceed with the course of studies after having successfully completed the first two years of part-time study (or one year of full-time study when the course is offered full-time) if they obtain an overall average mark of 55%. - Students who successfully complete study-units to which not less than 60 ECTS credits are assigned, and opt not to proceed with the course, or having proceeded do not successfully complete the course, shall be entitled to the award of the Diploma. - The overall evaluation of each student’s performance in the course for the purpose of the classification shall be based on the results obtained in each year of the course, all credits being weighted equally.
