L.S. 327.691 Ordinamenti għas-Certificate in Environmental Education and Intepretation taħt il-patroċinju taċ-Ċentru għall-Edukazzjoni u Riċerka Ambje

(1)These bye-laws may be cited as the Bye-Laws for the Certificate in Environmental Education and Interpretation under the auspices of the Centre for Environmental Education and Research.

(2)Citation and Interpretation. In these bye-laws, unless the context otherwise requires – “the Board of Studies” means the Board of Studies appointed by Senate forthe Course; “the Certificate” means the Certificate in Environmental Education and Interpretation; “the Course” means the programme of study leading to the Certificate in Environmental Education and Interpretation; and “the Principal Regulations” means the General Regulations for UniversityUndergraduate Awards, 2019. 2. These bye-laws shall be commencing in October 2022 or later. applicable for courses 3.

(1)To be registered as regular students in the Course, applicants shall: either (

1. a)satisfy the general requirements for admission as specified in the Admissions Regulations; or (
2. b)be in possession of a qualification in an environmental education/sustainability domain, comprising not less than 120 ECVET credits or equivalent, and classified at MQF Level 4, as well as passes in the Secondary Education Certificate Examination at Grade 5 or better in English Language, Maltese and Mathematics.

(2)Applicants may also be admitted as Adult Learners under paragraph (c) of regulation 6 of the Admissions Regulations. Such applicants must be in possession of those qualifications and/or experience that would satisfy the interviewing board, through an interview, that they have reached the academic standard required to Applicability. Such applicants shall be required to submit with their application a letter written in English giving their motivation for joining the Course, together with a copy of their Curriculum Vitae.

(3)Applicants admitted in terms of paragraph

(2)of this byelaw shall be in possession of a pass in an English language proficiency test as approved by the University before being admitted to the Course, provided that applicants in possession of a Secondary Education Certificate pass at Grade 3 or higher in English Language or a pass at the same standard in a comparable qualification, shall be exempt from this requirement.

(4)The interviewing board appointed by the Board of Studies shall be composed of at least three members. Course Duration.

1. study. The Course shall extend over two semesters of part-time Programme of Study.
2. The programme of study shall consist of study-units to which a total of 32 ECTS credits are assigned.
3. Subject to changes that the Board of Studies may, with the approval of Senate, be constrained to make, students are bound to follow the study-units and obtain the credits as indicated in the programme of study for the Course.
4. The programme of study shall be published afterapproval by Senate, normally not less than eight months prior to the commencement of the Course. Result of the Award. 8.

(1)The Certificate shall be awarded to students who obtain all the credits indicated in bye-law 5.

(2)The names of students who qualify for the award of the Certificate shall be published in a list in alphabetical order.
