L.S. 327.760 Ordinamenti għall-Postgraduate Certificate of Fine Arts in Digital Arts – P.G. Cert. - taħt il-patroċinju tal-Fakultà tal-Midja u x-Xjenz

(1)These bye-laws may be cited as the Bye-Laws for the Postgraduate Certificate of Fine Arts in Digital Arts - P.G. Cert. under the auspices of the Faculty of Media and Knowledge Sciences.

(2)Citation and Interpretation In these bye-laws, unless the context otherwise requires - "the Board" means the Board of the Faculty of Media and Knowledge Sciences; "the Certificate" means the Postgraduate Certificate of Fine Arts in Digital Arts - P.G. Cert.; "the Course" means the programme of study leading to the Postgraduate Certificate of Fine Arts in Digital Arts - P.G. Cert.; and "the Principal Regulations" means the General Regulations for University Postgraduate Awards,

2. These bye-laws shall be commencing in October 2025 or later. applicable for courses Applicability
3. The Course shall be offered in any area of study which benefits from a Practice as Research approach, including disciplines from the digital arts, media arts, visual arts, sound arts, graphic design, photography and interdisciplinary practice that falls within the academic responsibility of the Board, after approval by Senate. The Board shall announce the areas of study to be offered during an academic year, at the time of the call for applications. Areas of Study 4.

(1)The Course shall be open to applicants in possession of either: Requirements for Admission (

1. a)a Bachelor’s degree, pegged at least at Level 6 on the Malta Qualifications Framework and obtained with at least Third Class Honours or Category III in an area of study deemed relevant by the Board; or (
2. b)a professional qualification/qualifications and/or 2 [ S.L. 327.760 POSTGRADUATE CERTIFICATE OF FINE ARTS IN DIGITAL ARTS - P.G. CERT. experience deemed by Senate, on the recommendation of the Board, to satisfy the admission requirements to the Course.

(2)All applicants shall be asked to provide evidence of their professional experience in the Creative Arts and/or Media by means of a portfolio of recent works.

(3)The admission of applicants may be made conditional on the result of an interview conducted by an interviewing board composed of at least three members. The admission of applicants may further be subject to those conditions that may be imposed to address any lacunae in the applicants’ academic preparation. Conditions imposed may include the satisfactory completion of supplementary study-units, up to a maximum of 12 ECTS credits, in addition to the programme of study specified in the bye-law 6 of these bye-laws. Course Duration

1. The Course shall extend over one semester of full-time study or two semesters of part-time study. Programme of Study
2. The programme of study shall comprise taught study-units to which a total of 30 ECTS credits shall be assigned.
3. The programme of study shall be published after approval by Senate, normally not less than eight months prior to the commencement of the course. Result of the Award 8.

(1)The Certificate shall be awarded to students who obtain all the credits indicated in bye-law 6.

(2)The names of students who qualify for the award of the Certificate shall be published in a list in alphabetical order.
