- The title of these regulations is the Fees for the Use of the Facilities of the Malta National Park at Ta’ Qali Regulations. Citation.

In these regulations, unless the context otherwise "Department" means the Public Works Department; "Minister" means the Minister responsible for the Public Works Department; "Park" means the Malta National Park at Ta’ Qali as indicated in the Second Schedule; "Unit" means the body established by article 9 of the Public Administration Act responsible for the management of the Park. 3.
(1)The fees stipulated in the First Schedule shall be charged and collected by the Department for the use of facilities at the Park for cultural activities and other activities or events. Cap. 595. Charging of fees and other expenses.
(2)Any other expenses, including the provision of water, electricity and telephone services and the hiring of additional staff during the said activities or events, shall be charged separately and reimbursed to the Department.
(3)The fees indicated in the First Schedule shall be charged for each day that these facilities are used: Provided that if the facilities are used for a period between four
(4)and seven
(7)consecutive days, the fee shall be reduced by ten per cent (10%) while there shall be a reduction of twenty per cent (20%) if the facilities are used for a period of eight
(8)days or more.
- The organisers of any event held at the Park may be requested to give a bank guarantee as security for the activity or event. The determination of the amount of the guarantee shall be at the discretion of the Director General of the Department following consultation with the Unit. - The Minister and, or his delegate may exempt any organisation or entity that organises an event at the Park from the payment of the fees stipulated in the First Schedule. Prohibition of certain events.
- The Minister and, or his delegate may prohibit the holding of certain events at the Park. Minister’s discretion to establish fees in other areas within the Park.
- The Minister and, or his delegate shall have the discretion to establish the fee for activities and events held in areas other than those indicated in the First Schedule, but which are also within the boundaries of the Park. Other permits.
- The authorisation to hold an activity or event at the Park shall not exempt the applicant from obtaining all the necessary official permits for the holding of the said activity or event.
