(1)The title of these regulations is the Organisation of Wedding Receptions at the Citadel Ditch Regulations. Citation and scope.
(2)The scope of these regulations is to regulate the organisation of wedding receptions at the Citadel ditch and to provide for matters ancillary to the same organisation, as activities that affect cultural property.

- "Citadel" means the historical site of the Citadel fortifications, also known as the Gozo Bastion, within the boundaries of the locality of Rabat (Ċittà Victoria), and includes the ditch; "Directorate" means the Directorate for Cultural Heritage within the Ministry; "Ministry" means the Ministry assigned ministerial responsibility for Gozo Affairs; "reservation" means the reservation made by a natural person by which the same person requests that the Citadel ditch be reserved for him. 3.
(1)The Ministry shall have the responsibility of the Citadel ditch for the purposes of these regulations.
(2)Natural persons may request that the Citadel ditch be reserved for them for the purpose of organising wedding receptions.
(3)The Directorate shall be responsible for the administration of the reservations of the Citadel ditch made in accordance with these regulations.
(4)The Directorate shall, without prejudice to these regulations, prepare and publish a policy which regulates the reservation and the use of the Citadel ditch for the purpose of organising wedding receptions. The said policy shall include such details, prohibitions, limitations and relevant guidelines as are The Citadel ditch as a place where wedding receptions may be organised. 2 [ S.L. 445.08 ORGANISATION OF WEDDING RECEPTIONS AT THE CITADEL DITCH necessary for the protection and best preservation and conservation of the Citadel ditch as part of cultural property.
(5)The fee payable for the reservation and use of the ditch shall be that of five thousand euro (€5,000), which payment shall be made in its entirety for each wedding reception.
(6)For the purposes of any relevant law, the Citadel ditch shall be a place where wedding receptions may be organised. Request to reserve the ditch. 4.
(1)The Directorate shall draw up a reservation form whereby a person may request that the ditch be reserved for the purpose of organising a wedding reception. The said reservation form shall contain such spaces suitable for those details that the Directorate deems appropriate to be provided by the person submitting that form.
(2)The Directorate shall publish on its website and in the Gazette the reservation form together with the policy mentioned in regulation 3
(4): Provided that the said publications shall take place each time the Directorate updates the reservation form or the policy referred to in regulation 3
(4).
(3)The Directorate shall make available to the public such information specifying those days and times which are already booked or which are requested to be booked.
(4)The reservation form shall be submitted within four
(4)weeks before the date indicated in the same form: Provided that in case more than one
(1)date is indicated in a request to reserve the ditch for more than one
(1)day, the time limit referred to in this sub-regulation shall be taken from the date of the first day indicated.
(5)By submitting the reservation form, the persons responsible for the organisation of the wedding reception accept the content of the policy as the terms and conditions for the use of the ditch.
(6)Upon submission of the reservation form, the Directorate shall within two
(2)working days mark those days and times indicated in the form as being requested to be reserved in such relevant information available to the public.
