- requires: In these regulations, unless the context otherwise Interpretation. "the Act" means the Malta Enterprise Act; Cap.
- "Artisan" means a duly registered undertaking including self-employed persons carrying out an economic activity based on the production of a craft or self-employed person that has previously carried out an economic activity based on the production of a craft; "the Corporation" means Malta Enterprise established under the Act; "craft" means a skill with hands in creating unique items which may have a functional or decorative use; "the Guidelines" means such guidelines as may be published by the Corporation from time to time in terms of the Act; "single undertaking" shall have the meaning attributed to it by the Guidelines; "Start-up" means an unlisted Small Undertaking that has been established for less than three
(3)years and which has not yet distributed profits and has not been established through a merger. 1 2 [ S.L. 463.27 INVESTING IN CRAFTS Part II Skills Transfer Assistance for support in the process of skills transfer given to an eligible artisian. 3. The Corporation may provide support to an artisan in terms established in the Guidelines for facilitating the process of transferring their skills to other persons by providing: (
- a)up to ten thousand euro (€10,000) to be disbursed at a rate of up to twenty euro (€20) per hour covering the time dedicated to skills transfer; (
- b)up to two thousand euro (€2000) to support the purchase of materials required for the implementation of the skill transfer. Bonus. 4. Within terms as may be established in the Guidelines if the Corporation deems that a skill transfer was successful the Corporation may grant an artisan a bonus of up to one thousand euro (€1000). Part III Assistance for Artisan Start-ups Financial Support. 5. The Corporation may provide financial support of up to ten thousand euro (€10,000) spread over a period not exceeding twelve
(12)months to an Artisan Start-up controlled by a natural person who acquired a skill through the support provided under these regulations in terms as established in the Guidelines. Part IV Eligible Entities and Deadline for Submissions Assistance.
- Assistance under these regulations shall be offered to duly registered undertakings which satisfy the conditions established in the Guidelines. Conformity.
- Assistance provided under these regulations shall be in conformity with the de minimis Regulation as defined in Commission Regulation (EU) No 1407/2013 of 18 December 2013 on the application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to de minimis aid. - No assistance under these regulations shall be awarded by the Corporation after the 1st June 2020.
