  2. The title of these regulations is the Gozo Passenger and Goods Services (Fares) Regulations. Citation.

(1)The fares payable by passengers and vehicles for the journey from Ċirkewwa or from any other port in Malta to Mġarr, Gozo, or vice versa, with ro-ro passenger ships, shall be those listed in the First Schedule. Passenger and vehicle fares.
(2)The fares payable in respect to any incentive scheme for the journey from Ċirkewwa or from any other port in Malta to Mġarr, Gozo, or vice versa, with ro-ro passenger ships, shall be those listed in the Second and Fourth Schedules.

The fares payable on commercial vehicles and, or other vehicles falling within the parameters listed in the Third Schedule for the journey from Ċirkewwa or from any other port in Malta to Mġarr, Gozo, or vice versa, with ro-ro passenger ships shall be those listed in the said Schedule. (1)) Fares on a return trip basis for journeys from Ċirkewwa or from any other port in Malta to Mġarr, Gozo, or vice versa, with ro-ro passenger ships
  1. Passenger Standard Fare €4.65 This fare applies for all passengers, except permanent residents in Gozo and those having a Maltese resident senior citizen status.
  2. Passenger Standard Night Fare €4.05 This fare applies for all passengers, except permanent residents in Gozo and those having a Maltese resident senior citizen status, leaving Mġarr, Gozo after 8pm and before the first morning trip of the scheduled ro-ro passenger ships services operator’s printed Schedule of Trips between the months of November and March.
  3. Gozo Resident Passenger Subsidised Fare This fare applies to permanent residents in Gozo. €1.15 GOZO PASSENGER AND GOODS SERVICES (FARES)
  4. Maltese Resident Senior Citizen Subsidised Fare Free This fare applies to all those having a Maltese resident senior citizen status.
  5. Children’s Fare €1.15 This fare applies to all children from the age of 3 up to 12 years.
  6. Car and Driver Standard Fare €15.70 This fare applies to all passengers, except permanent residents in Gozo and those having a Maltese resident senior citizen status travelling by car.
  7. Car and Driver Standard Night Fare €12.80 This fare applies to all passengers, except permanent residents in Gozo and those having a Maltese resident senior citizen status, travelling by car leaving Mġarr, Gozo after 8pm and before the first morning trip of the scheduled ro-ro passenger ships services operator’s printed Schedule of Trips between the months of November and March.
  8. Car and Gozo Resident Driver Subsidised Fare €8.15 This fare applies to permanent residents in Gozo travelling by car.
  9. Car and Gozo Resident who is also a Maltese Resident Senior Citizen Driver Subsidised Fare €6.95 This fare applies to permanent residents in Gozo having a Maltese resident senior citizen status travelling by car.
  10. Car and Maltese Resident Senior Citizen Driver Subsidised Fare This fare applies to all those having a Maltese resident senior citizen status travelling by car. €11.05 [ S.L. 499.75 3 4 [ S.L. 499.75

Motorcycle and Driver Night Fare €6.95 This fare applies to all passengers, except to permanent residents in Gozo and those having a Maltese resident senior citizen status, travelling by motorcycle on trips leaving Mġarr, Gozo after 8pm, and before the first trip of the scheduled ro-ro passenger ships services operator’s printed Schedule of Trips between the month of November and March.
  13. Motorcycle and Gozo Resident Driver Subsidised Fare €4.65 This fare only applies to permanent residents in Gozo travelling by motorcycle.
  14. Motorcycle and Gozo Resident who is also a Maltese Resident Senior Citizen Driver Subsidised Fare €3.45 This fare applies to permanent residents in Gozo having a Maltese resident senior citizen status travelling by motorcycle.
  15. Motorcycle and Maltese Resident Senior Citizen Driver Subsidised Fare €3.45 This fare applies to all those having a Maltese resident senior citizen status travelling by motorcycle.

  1. The overall length of vehicle exceeding 5.5 metres but not exceeding 6.5 metres €23.25 €26.75
  2. The overall length of vehicle exceeding 6.5 metres but not exceeding 8 metres €34.90 €39.50

  10. A surcharge of €2.30 per linear metre shall be applied on overhanging cargo carried on vehicles boarding from Ċirkewwa, Malta, to Mġarr, Gozo, or vice versa.
  11. A surcharge of €2.80 per linear metre shall be applied on overhanging cargo carried on vehicles boarding from any other port in Malta to Mġarr, Gozo or vice versa.
  12. These fares only apply to vehicles. Fares applicable to passengers and drivers listed in the First Schedule shall be paid separately. (2)) Family Passes Scheme This scheme applies to "L-Ulied ta’ Għawdxin Residenti Malta" and applies to cars with an overall length up to 5.3 metres. Family Pass - Passenger Card € 4.65 Family Pass - Car and Driver Card € 11.65 The terms and conditions which regulate this scheme may be obtained from the scheduled ro-ro passenger ships services operator.
